Laundry Time
I ran out of clean clothes (technically, I ran out of clean *winter* clothes, since I still have a drawer full of perfectly clean tank tops and shorts) and asked the lady I live with to recommend a laundromat. The ones she knew about were kind of a hike from the apartment, so she was nice enough to let me use her washing machine, which she keeps under cover on the kitchen balcony.
My clothes (and everyone else’s, apparently!) are now hanging out to dry… I hope. The weather forecast is threatening rain!
…which, for me, would only be par for the course. Even the signora calls me “la frana”, which is Italian slang for “walking disaster”. Heheheheh.

So many questions….so little time.

1.) Why twitter? Why not facebook?
2.) Why did you get in trouble for plugging in your laptop?
3.) Are you still using that 40 lb laptop you had when you were here?
4.) Can you send me a birthday postcard?
5.) 807 Davis Street #1110 Evanston, IL 60201
6.) Does this site mean you put all your past travelogues on this website? What a great idea!!
7.) Why did you change the name of your company?
8.) What percentage of the time are you in work, school, touring, etc.
9.) What do you miss, if anything, from the states? Do you need anything?
10.) What is a typical day like (with the understanding that nothing about ER is typical!
xoxoxoxoxo
1) Twitter automatically updates my Facebook, so for me it’s a 2 in 1.
2) No clue. Other people saw me do it and started plugging in their cell phones and ipods and whatever to charge them, and the security guard yelled at us all.
3) Nope. You punk’d me into ordering a new one.
4/5) Word.
6) Yep!
7) Because SingleSystems no longer made any sense. WebMotion seemed to imply more of what I do: create dynamic websites.
8/10) I am in school from 9-5. The 30m walk each way can maybe be counted as touring? Heh. I’m in the apartment working the rest of the time M-F. On the weekends I escape.
9) My friends and gallo pinto. When you come visit (you’re coming, right?) I might ask you to pack some foodstuffs I miss…
Europeans keep their washing machines in the strangest places! Hope your clothes were dry instead of damp. Loving all the pics of your home away from home.
Wish I could come visit. Curse you, crappy economy!
They were mostly dry and the ones that were got tossed over the water heater register thingy (what *do* you call that thing? It’s in each room and it heats by hot water? Do you even know what I’m talking about?)
And, YES, stupid, stupid economy!!!!!
Radiator? (I fear my ignorance is showing…)
